Introducing the latest addition to the Volans Family, the Reposado Tequila. This meticulously crafted tequila is delicately rested in seasoned American white oak bourbon barrels for under one year, allowing for a harmonious marriage of flavors. The Rivers-Marie Pinot Noir Sonoma 2023 is vibrant and expressive, with bright red fruits, earthy notes, and a hint of cola on the nose, complemented by flavors of mint, roasted herbs, and loamy earth on the palate, framed by lively acidity and abundant fruit tannins.

A powerful wine with a great balance of fruit and natural acidity along with the citrus elements of classic Puligny. This Chardonnay is manually harvested, and the whole clusters are put in the pneumatic press and are gently pressed for 2-3 hours. The free-run juice is placed in tank overnight for natural sedimentation. The juice is then put in barrel by gravity for fermentation with its natural yeasts. Aging occurs on the lies, without racking for 10-16 months. The wine is racked once just before bottling and bottle by gravity after a light fining (no filtering) by gravity, all the while respecting the phases of the moon and the planets. -Winemaker Notes

The Tablas Creek Vineyard 2022 Esprit de Tablas Blanc is the flagship white blend, crafted from the top lots of six white Rhône varieties propagated from budwood cuttings sourced from the Château de Beaucastel estate. Roussanne serves as the foundation, contributing richness, minerality, and flavors of honey and spice. Grenache Blanc enhances the blend with notes of green apple and anise, a lush mouthfeel, and bright acidity. Picpoul Blanc adds a burst of pineapple brightness and saline minerality, while Bourboulenc introduces a limestoney, citrusy lift. Clairette Blanche contributes clean fruitiness and chalky minerality, and Picardan provides a final burst of acidity, further accentuating the wine’s mineral-driven profile.

Haložan Orange is an ode to the traditional local wines of Štajerska, as well as the ancient winemaking techniques of skin contact fermentation for white wines. As opposed to many overly complex skin contact wines, this orange wine is made for everyone. Fresh and fruity but still exhibiting the color and funky nuances of a skin contact white, this is an orange wine of the people, for the people, by the people. On the nose, Haložan Orange is still fresh and fruity with aromas of stone fruits, dried herbs and zesty notes of subtle graphite. Gentle tannins on the palate with fresh acidity and loads of exotic fruits and herbs.

PLANET

Forty-nine year old, dry farmed vines planted in sandy loam soil. The robust Martini heritage selection of Pinot Noir creates an old world fashioned yet new world expressive wine. A flashy garnet color, the 2017 Soixante et Onze is an intriguing and layered Pinot Noir. Its bold aromatics unfurl notes of crushed pomegranate, green tea, and rose petals. The structured mid-palate (from the seventy-five percent whole cluster stem inclusion) is highlighted by light strawberry, pine needles, and pitted cherry accents. Ample acidity elevates the coating finish with elements of sandalwood, tangerine skin, and incense.

Domaine Fouassier's 2023 Sancerre "Sur Le Fort" is a classic expression of Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, France. It offers a crisp, dry profile with prominent minerality and vibrant citrus and green fruit flavors, reflecting the region's unique terroir. The wine is crafted using organic and biodynamic farming practices, with spontaneous fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks.

The Champagne Pascal Doquet Diapason Extra Brut is a Blanc de Blancs obtained from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Aromas of spice, black tea, and pear dominate the flinty-silex soils from the Mont Aimé. Creamy, honeyed peach aromas give way to a rich and full palate. It's silky and tasty, with a delicate, soft mousse and comforting flavours of honey cake, caramel and spiced apples. Refreshing and zesty bitter lemon perks up the finish.

Besserat de Bellefon, Blanc de blancs "Grand Cru" NV Épernay, Champagne, France is a sparkling wine crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from Grand Cru vineyards, meaning they are of the highest quality. It is a Blanc de Blancs, signifying its all-white grape composition. This particular bottling is non-vintage (NV), meaning it's a blend of wines from different years, offering a consistent style. The wine is known for its vibrant yellow color, citrusy and floral aromas, and a well-structured, mineral-driven palate with hints of dried fruits.

This is a large format (magnum) dry Champagne (brut) made solely from white grapes (blanc de blancs), primarily Chardonnay, sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. It's a non-vintage wine (NV), indicating a blend of different harvest years, aromas of citrus, apple, and hints of baked bread or brioche. Yoichi Single Malt is described as bold and strong. Pleasant peaty notes and smokiness originating from the traditional direct coal-fired distillation as well as a briny hint delivered by the sea breeze during the aging process.

Gruet Sauvage NV is a bone-dry sparkler, pale straw in color with a delicate but persistent mousse. The aromas of bright mineral and citrus notes tickle the nose followed by touches of green apple, lemon and grapefruit. The finish is structured, flavorful and long. The bright acidity makes this wine a perfect pairing for oysters, sushi and cream sauces

"Schiava is another one of those tragic grapes that was almost overlooked, and made extinct, by wineries replacing it with more lucrative varietals. In the case of Alto Adige that would be Pinot Grigio - easy to grow and make, while very well suited for the region to produce snappy, cheap, and easy white wines. Ignaz Niedrist was one of those producers that focused more on the well known varietals, but in 2003 when an ancient neighboring vineyard was being demolished he couldn't bare to see the history erased so he took several cuttings and planted them in his vineyard (mostly Schiava, but some cannot be identified thus the "3% other indigenious varietals"). We are pleased to say that his decision really did 'bear fruit'! Schiava, particularly this Schiava, makes for the perfect daytime chillable red: crunchy, bright, crystalized red fruit just leaps out of the glass while it light, lifted, body is immediately charming and begs to be paired with sunny poolside days." -Casey Bowers

Indulge in Wasenhaus' "Grand Ordinaire" Pinot Noir, a delightful fusion of playfulness and sophistication from Baden, Germany. Crafted by the dynamic duo Alexander Götze and Christoph Wolber, this aromatic gem offers notes of crushed red berries, pomegranate seeds, and button mushrooms. With a crunchy, racy palate and a mineral core, it exudes finesse and clarity. Enhanced by used barrels for added depth, it's seriously delicious, a testament to tradition and innovation in every sip.

Alma Fria's Pinot Noir Plural is bright, punchy, and full of West Sonoma Coast character. Savory and floral notes lift a core of red-toned fruit. Spice, orange peel and mint develop in the glass.

The De Fermo family has called Loreto Aprutino home for generations. The current generation, led by husband and wife team, Stefano Papetti and Nicoletta De Fermo.This 100% Montepulciano was aged in concrete and is meant for earlier drinking yet still showing a bold, pure style which is refreshing in this region.

Ruggedly beautiful, unabashedly wild, a little oddball; all adjectives one could use to describe the surrounds in which it grows can too be directly applied to the juice that lies within a bottle of the Pellaro Rosso. A blend of 60% Nerello Cappuccio - more commonly seen just a few miles across the strait on Sicily’s Mount Etna - and 40% Nocera from the windswept and sun-baked hills above the coastal village of Pellaro, the wine is fermented in stainless steel and then aged for 9-12 months in older barriques. Plenty of dark plum, tomato sugo, smoked game meat and juicy red fruit. Bust out the crock pot, braise yourself and chunk of meat and settle in for a night of Netflix and this stuff.

2018 “Combeaux Massardières” Gamay de la Vallée du Doux (Vin de France): A few years ago, Guillaume acquired a 0.3-hectare plot of 40-year-old Gamay planted in pure granite at 600 meters altitude in the Ardeche, and he produces a mere 800 bottles per vintage on average. As with his Cornas, he refrains from de-stemming his Gamay, but he allows fermentation to proceed semi-carbonically. Any kinship with its Beaujolais brethren, however, is purely varietal, as this 2018 is powerfully structured and inky-fruited, with wild aromas of sandalwood and potpourri, and mouthwatering concentration.

Before grape vines filled the west Sonoma County countryside, it was apple country, and apple juice and cider production are still a large part of the local industry. The gravenstein apple (a perfect varietal for apple pie and rich cider) is their native variety, and local gravenstein apple fair celebrates this heritage every year. To make Barber Lee's apple brandy, they ferment and double distill the juice of gravenstein apples that are grown and fresh squeezed by a grower in nearby coastal Sonoma County. They then age the brandy in new heavy char barrels. A classic American style of apple brandy with wonderful high notes of fresh cut apples and cedar spice from the oak. Barber Lee's label is etched onto a wood label and depicts a two headed snake biting an apple, which symbolizes Their copper still ‘The Two Headed Monster.’

Winemaker Notes: Tornatore Etna Rosso is ruby red wine with faint purple color, a typical trait of the Nerello Mascalese variety, which is not known for rich color. The wine has notes of macerated strawberries and raspberries, morello cherries and black plum, which blend with subtle hints of herbs and earth. Surprisingly full in structure, fine tannins and bright acidity give the wine richness, complexity and persistence. This Italian red wine is appellated from Etna Rosso DOC and is 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Blend: 95% Nerello Mascalese 5% Nerello Cappuccio

In the glass: This is not a "flashy" top cuvee — it carries more complexity than the basic cuvee, it is very light on it's feet, and is a classic expression of the terroir of the Graves district. About the Vineyard: A 1ha parcel of gravel / clay / sand, with 50% Semillon, 35% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Sauvignon Gris and 5% Muscadelle. It undergoes the same elevage as the basic cuvee, with 9 months in 4hl barrels (25% new). This is not a ‘flashy’ top cuvee – it carries more complexity than the basic cuvee, is very light on its feet, and is a classic expression of the terroir of the Graves district. Chablis Vau Ligneau 1er Cru sits in a side valley on the left bank of the Serein and has a higher proportion of clay than other premier crus giving it a rounder profile. The name "Vau Ligneau" translates as "valley of the little brook." Grapes are hand-harvested and vinified by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine goes through 100% malolactic fermentation and ages 18 months on the fine lees before bottling. The Domaine Louis Moreau Chablis Vau Ligneau Premier Cru has a classic Chablis character, with an elegant minerality and a rich, full palate. The nose opens to generous aromas of sliced green and yellow apple, white peach with hints of mint and pineapple. On the palate, jasmine and wet stones are accompanied by a salty preserved Meyer lemon component. This Chablis already shows breadth and volume, while being contained with lively acids that drive its long finish.

Savor the vibrant journey of Tegernseerhof's Gruner Veltliner "Federspiel" 2022! From Dürnstein's alluvial river sands, it bursts with bright notes of spice, honeysuckle, and white pepper, complemented by a mineral-rich nose and a refreshing minty, lime finish. Raised in stainless steel, this wine is the epitome of ease and universality, appealing to all palates.

This is the top end expression of Domaine de la Bergerie by the proprietors Anne and Marie Guégniard, showcasing the pristine and precise vineyards. Situated on schist soil, aged in Jarres de Grès (Stone jars siniliar to amphora for one year on fine lees to produce a wine with aromatics like no other. Honey, acacia, loquat, yellow apples, soft pears, and a round weighty palate. Salty minerality and a natural quality with fresh fruit that is very Nicolas Joly-esque.

Marisa Cuomo's Falanghina "Ravello Bianco" 2022 is crafted with precision and care, reflecting the essence of the region. Harvested by hand, the grapes undergo a meticulous process, from destemming to soft pressing. The free-run must, clarified through cold static fining, ferments with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature for 20/30 days. Following this, the wine matures gracefully for 4 months in stainless steel tanks. This Falanghina presents a pale straw yellow hue with greenish undertones, inviting you into a world of characteristic fruity aromas intertwined with delicate floral notes. The flavor is a harmonious balance, marked by a subtle acidity that accentuates the aromatic freshness, making it a delightful expression of the Ravello terroir.

Chambord has a rich, semi-sweet, and intense flavor. Even though it has vibrant color and fruit ingredients, it is not overly sweet and the vanilla and citrus peel taste is present. It has a silky mouthfeel and not sticky or oily. -TheSpruceEats

The third and final release from Compass Box's Myths & Legends series, created to debunk the, well, myths and legends surrounding Scotch whisky. Myths & Legends III was designed to challenge the notion that whisky from celebrated and renowned distilleries is too precious to blend. So, parcels of malt whisky used in Myths & Legends II have been added to peated malt whiskies from a pair of celebrated island distilleries, namely Highland Park and Caol Ila. The 4,564 rather striking bottles were released in 2019 at 46% ABV. Nose: Banana milkshake, crème brûlée and condensed milk balanced by floral honey, bonfire ash and a hint of maritime smoke. Palate: More tropical fruit, with tinned pineapple, more banana and butterscotch, a touch of apricot and charred wood. Finish: Smoke remains with juicy berries and a prickle of oak spice.

<p><br/></p><p>Monte Tondo is regularly recognized as one of the top producers in all of Soave, having garnered a small mountain (a “poggio”, if you will) of medals, awards, and ratings. From the same hillside cru used to produce their Soave Classico comes this “semi-sparkler”, a delightful frizzante that is light, zippy, and truly delicious. You’ve rarely (if ever) had Garganega like this – with aromas of citrus, pear blossom, and sea salt – all lifted by a gentle spritz. The 2023 Abbazia di Novacella Kerner from Alto Adige, Italy, is a dry, aromatic white wine with a pale straw-yellow color and green reflections. It offers a fresh and vibrant palate with flavors of green apple, peach, and a hint of minerality. The wine is known for its crisp acidity and lively character, making it a good pairing for seafood.

This is perhaps one of the best examples of Sangiovese you can find: Giovanna Morganti makes only one wine, “Le Trame,” and she makes it very, very well. She has fought with the DOC to create a classification of Chianti that reflects the land where it was grown. This struggle with and love of terrior is exactly what you’ll find in this bottle. Its nose is fresh with grassy red fruit and wet earth; its palate is elegant, structured and dark with velvety tannins. Be sure to decant this wine a good hour or two before enjoying it. This deep and complex wine is an absolute treasure and will only get better with age.
